Writing about SEO learnings

Hello!

It was a busy time in June for me with work, and on top of that my son finished school (UK A-Levels) and my daughter finished university! July is now flying by too. Who else finds summer a really busy time?

Here’s my usual mix of side projects, writing and work updates.

Time to read: 2.5 mins

Writing about SEO learnings

Most of you will already know I’ve been experimenting with SEO in the last year or so. I’ve also been writing on Medium to form a writing habit. So to combine them I’ve set up a Medium Publication called Tiny SEO Lessons.

I’d love to have you follow along, or hear your thoughts and comments. I may even open it up to other writers once I get going.

Another milestone approaching for Starrt

My Starrt website is creeping on towards 1000 monthly clicks from Google search! I’m quite in awe of this as I still consider myself a beginner at SEO, just chipping away for the last couple of years. It’s also not a bad achievement for a small niche directory and blog.

Crazy Instagram story

This one caught my eye recently. Photographer David Hurn is leveraging Instagram at the age of 89!

No-code domain sale

I was pleased to sell a domain on Dan recently. This was my first sale of a domain I’d purchased specifically as an investment, in 2020. It was a dot com including the keyword “nocode”. I also have a couple of other domains for sale on Dan.

Bias for action

This post from Hiten was spot on, for me. Getting into a mindset where everything you’re doing is an experiment really helps if you’re struggling with your productivity or imposter syndrome.

My recent writings

Here are some highlights of my recent writing:

Work update

I currently have availability in August onwards, for projects, part time, or coaching. The kind of projects I’ve been completing recently are:

  • Website design & builds (WordPress & Webflow)

  • Website management (WordPress & Webflow)

  • Canva template setups

I hope you enjoyed this email. Please reply, or tag me on X if you have something to say. I will reply to every mention.

More from me very soon.
